Baldur's Gate 3
by Priya Nair
A hundred hours of a game that remembers things you forgot you did. Almost every unhinged plan you scheme up — seduce the vampire, shove the wizard off a cliff, talk a god out of a fight — the game just quietly says 'sure, and here's the consequence.' Act 3 buckles under its own ambition and your GPU will file a complaint, but the highs are the highest the genre has ever reached. Larian set a standard the rest of the industry is pretending not to see.
