Past Lives

Eighty-some minutes of the most polite heartbreak ever committed to film. Nothing explodes, nobody yells, and yet the final bar scene left the entire theater doing that quiet thing where everyone pretends they have allergies. Greta Lee acts with the back of her neck. A movie about the lives we didn't choose, and proof that restraint hits harder than melodrama ever could.
